The need to reach and interact, to share knowledge and act in dynamic and distributed environments creates a challenge on the nature of human collaboration and meeting. At the same time that traveling to meetings becomes more challenging to schedule and budget, the competitive environment requires more efficient tools for more productive meetings and conferences. No longer can video only be interaction from dedicated rooms over dedicated networks, without sufficient data collaboration. On the other hand, web-type collaboration does not supply a suitable replacement for productive meetings, lacking the crucial aspect of video and audio interaction.
