RADVISION’s infrastructure products, management tools and applications provide unified visual communications over IP, 3G and emerging next generation networks. In 2007, they were made HD-ready and enabled to include High Definition VC endpoints. They now enable a mixture of High Definition (HD) video-conferencing, converged video telephony services, and scalable desktop–based visual communications.
 

RADVISION’s SCOPIA family of video conferencing and collaboration tools offer all the components an enterprise/organisation needs to deploy converged unified communications – across all platforms, devices and networks.  Enterprise users can enjoy easy-to-use video connectivity at all levels of the organization – from users at their desktops and on the road, to partners, colleagues and suppliers. The single RADVISION solution ensures reliable interoperability between different systems and resolutions, such as 3G, standard definition (SD), high definition (HD) and desktops.

The RADVISION SCOPIA™ version 5.5 released 30 October 2007 provides significant and very useful enhancements across the whole product line to the v.5 released in 2006 The SCOPIA Multipoint Control Unit’s (MCU) High Definition capabilities now include HD Continuous Presence and the ability to mix HD VC systems, standard definition SD VC systems and desktop systems in the same call. This is achieved without all participants downgrading to their common capabilities.

SCOPIA’s iVIEW Suite is a video network management software that provides call distribution and routing, reporting, scheduling, network management, and groupware integration. In 2007 it was enhanced to support the HD capabilities of the SCOPIA MCU.  The iVIEW Suite now provides High Availability redundancy, meeting the need for mission critical HD conferencing in the enterprise.
The SCOPIA V5.5 portfolio, then, is a complete Unified Visual Communications solution, including desktop, Standard Definition, and High Definition multipoint conferencing capabilities, gateway, gatekeeper, Web-based client, firewall traversal, streaming, and overall application management providing the best performance/price value available at the end of 2007. RADVISION released the SCOPIA™ 3G Video Gateway, its latest PC-to-Mobile 3G solution in Q3 2006.

RADVISION does offer a desktop software-only VC solution - the SCOPIA Desktop solution. The new version of SCOPOIA desktop released in 2007 leverages the enhanced HD capabilities of the SCOPIA MCU. It also adds productivity enhancements, such as text chat, conference moderation, and waiting room capabilities. 

The enhanced SCOPIA Desktop extends the capabilities of the SCOPIA MCU to a large number of remote users with a free, easily downloadable, Web-based client; for users outside the enterprise network (such as customers and suppliers), it includes automatic and transparent firewall traversal. The solution also enables data collaboration interoperability with room systems via H.239; and it provides conference broadcasting via streaming to large audiences, including both PC and Mac users. SCOPIA desktop is managed and deployed centrally for remote users, thus eliminating IT administration headaches
 
The SCOPIA desktop solution allows desktop and remote users to connect to their existing video network infrastructure capable of High Definition conferences, wherever they are and with an IP address that moves around with them wherever they go. Users obtain a high quality interactive video collaboration experience from a PC or laptop.

In 2007, RADVISION enhanced its SCOPIA platform to support mixed mode conferences of High Definition, Standard Definition and include desktop users. This made SCOPIA a very complete solution.
