19 March 2007. Codian, announced the launch of its innovative IP GW 3500 Series Voice and Video Internet Portal at Spring Voice On the Net 2007, 19 - 22 March 2007, at the San Jose Convention Center. With the Codian IP GW 3500 Series, an organization can publish a single IP address to serve as a portal to all its video communications users, comparable to the switchboard number for traditional telephone calls.

 

No prior set up is required for new Internet users. They are greeted with either a live operator or auto attendant for professional and efficient call management. Callers can also use the intuitive auto attendant menu to connect directly to common destinations or dial in directly using extension numbers.
 
Codian has developed a unique gateway architecture that delivers both outbound and inbound communication. It provides universal compatibility and optimal IP clarity for each caller’s audio and video, no matter what equipment they use, whether based on SIP or traditional H.323 protocols.

As an application-level gateway, the Codian IP GW 3500 Series ensures that no IP packets are forwarded from the Internet to the private network. Additional security features include three levels of user access privileges and individual dial plans for each network port.
